I found your site by searching for ACN video phone (go figure!). My mum is apparently a rep. She started selling (?) these things a few months ago because she wanted to keep in touch with her relatives. I have no idea the specifics of her “conversion” but I dare say your observations are spot on!

Unfortunately, she fits in the naive category and was sure this would be a great thing to keep in touch with me. She lives in Oregon and I’m in Australia. Surprisingly, Melbourne, actually! Anyway, I’m in IT, a natural skeptic and as soon as she’d told me what she’d purchased, I smelled something funny. Just thought I’d send you a quick note to say thanks for posting your findings and at the very least, giving me a bit of a chuckle that my feelings about this device and this company appear to be accurate. Oh, and both my mother (who’s a “rep”) and my grandmother in TX can’t get their phones working!
